Stolac · Carved medieval stećci, UNESCO
On the plain three kilometres west of Stolac stand the stećci of Radimlja — a hundred and thirty-three medieval tombstones, sixty-three of them carved with figures, spirals and raised arms whose meaning is still argued over. A UNESCO monument and one of the chapter's stone anchors: seven thousand years of human presence, read in a single field.
