Lukomir · The roof of the world
A two-room guesthouse — “the roof of the world” — in Lukomir, Bosnia's highest permanently inhabited village at some fifteen hundred metres, right on the rim of the Rakitnica canyon. Stone houses under cherry-wood tiles, sunrise over the drop, and a silence the road barely reaches.
Best for
Slow mornings, couples, and anyone who measures a place by its quiet.
Not for
Guests who want a full-service resort, nightlife, or a lift to every floor.
In brief
A place we chose on the route, independently run. The hosts hold the dates and arrange it with you directly — no platform between you and the house.
